With the Early Head Start Home Visiting Program
What is the Early Head Start Home Visiting Program?
Early Head Start Home Visitors work with EHS families and visit one time each week for 1.5 hours for those who qualify. Focused on caregiving and family well-being, This program is designed for pregnant parents and parents with children 0-3 years of age. It provides socialization opportunities for your child with other families twice a month, as well as home visits from designated specialists throughout the year. This program emphasizes creating a healthy link between home life and school for your child. This helps prepare them for a smooth transition into their future education and produces lasting results as they begin learning in a school setting.

Their goal is to provide you with the tools you need to foster a positive learning environment both in and out of the home. Additionally, the program provides opportunities for your child to socialize with others their age. By initiating this natural link between school and home, you can prepare and provide your child with the tools needed to transition into a learning environment and achieve great things successfully.
Who Can Apply?
Pregnant parents and children who are 0-3 years old at the time of enrollment and whose family meets any of the following criteria can apply:
- Receiving SNAP or TANF benefits
- Homeless (includes living in a camp trailer or staying with family)
- The child is in the Foster Care system
- Family household income is below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL)
